JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking an experienced Automation & Installation Manager to join our team at our new paper mill factory in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The job-holder shall report to the project director and shall be fully responsible for all automation & instrumentation technical matters during the installation as well as operation phase. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the automation team, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our factory's automation systems. This role will play a crucial part in driving continuous improvement and innovation in our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the automation team, providing guidance and support to ensure the effective operation of all automation systems within the paper mill factory.
- Develop and implement automation strategies to optimize production processes, improve efficiency, and reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of automation systems, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
- Stay updated with the latest automation technologies and industry best practices, and recommend relevant upgrades or improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all automation activities.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in automation and control systems within a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, and other automation technologies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing automation team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards related to automation and safety.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
