JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Associate Category Manager supports the Category Manager in all aspects related to the assigned product category, with a focus on maximizing sales, optimizing product assortment, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Description

• Collaborating with the Category Manager to develop and implement strategies for product assortment. This includes selecting the right mix of products to meet customer needs and achieve sales goals.
• Working with suppliers and vendors to negotiate terms, manage relationships, and ensure that the category is well-stocked with quality products. This may involve price negotiations, contract management, and performance evaluations.
• Working on the introduction of new products within the category. This involves collaborating with product development teams, conducting market research, and creating launch plans.
• Ensuring that products within the category comply with relevant regulations and industry standards. This includes staying updated on changes in regulations that may impact the category.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business, MBA preferred
• 3-5 years in brand/category management
• Basic understanding of intellectual property and patents
• MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerPI)
• Business development and management skills
• Entrepreneurial and hands-on mentality
