Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Senior Architect/Design Manager to join our award-winning team based in Doha, Qatar.

We envisage success in this role to include:

- Lead and oversee the architectural design process from concept through completion, ensuring high-quality and innovative design solutions
- Manage the design team, including architects, designers, and external consultants, to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget
- Develop and review architectural plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with local building codes and regulations
- Coordinate with clients to understand their vision, requirements, and expectations, and translate them into effective design solutions
- Conduct regular design reviews and provide feedback to ensure alignment with project goals and client expectations
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate architectural designs with structural and MEP systems
- Oversee the preparation of design proposals, presentations, and reports for clients and stakeholders
- Manage the design approval process, including obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities
- Monitor project progress and provide technical support and guidance to the project team throughout the construction phase
- Conduct site visits to ensure adherence to design intent, quality standards, and project specifications
- Resolve design-related issues and provide solutions to design and construction challenges
- Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement and innovation in design processes
- Lead and mentor junior architects and design staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment
- Participate in business development activities, including proposal writing, client presentations, and networking events to support the growth of the company
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and governance standards in all design activities

Requirements:
Qualifications

- To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 18 years of broad-based experience in a design role, preferably in the region.
- Experience in Microsoft Office, Primavera and Microsoft Project applications and a bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering is essential.
