JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

• Required to join an international contractor working on oil & gas construction projects in Qatar. Scope of work includes civil, mechanical, electrical/Instrumentation (E/I) installation in an oil & gas plant.

Responsibilities include
• Ensure that civil work is carried out fully in accordance with the project quality standards specified in the Contract and that the procedures laid down in the Project Quality Plan to achieve these standards are followed.
• Establishing and monitoring quality related Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for all project civil part execution phases
• Maintain effectiveness of the project quality system within the project area under his/her responsibility.
• Coordinate external inspection agencies when required.
• Keep close liaison with the Client and any other stakeholder regarding all site QC issues during all project mechanical execution phases.

Requirements:

• BSc Civil Engineering or equivalent. HND or equivalent could be accepted if accompanied with strong professional qualifications and experience.
• 15 years working experience with at least 10 years in QC Engineer/Manager post in civil works for oil & gas related projects.
• The right candidate must have the ability to communicate well at all levels within the Project and to demonstrate leadership. In addition, the candidate must possess very good planning, presentation, negotiations and organizational skills, the vision to identify quality improvement opportunities and the ability to achieve results through motivation and team working.
