JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Wood Is looking Public Relations Officer to join our team in Iraq Basra .

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Act as a Ghabet El Iraq & Ghabet AlMajal JV Iraqi PRO supporting all business in Iraq
- Coordinate Oilfield Paperwork and entry paperwork for expats and Iraqi nationals to get to the client Site; further expansion as required.
- Coordinate all blood tests and visa applications for all assigned projects.
- Act as an Arabic speaker and translator for any in-country issues and any relevant management issues as appropriate.
- Foster a good working relationship and liaise with the BOC/immigration/MoI/O.
- Prepared to assist and liaise between the business and local Iraqi business'. Bus company, airport taxis, hotel and conference venues; as required.
- Link between client Local National Managers and Wood management as required.
- Assist the Wood SPRO with visa applications and BOC approval in coordination with relevant agencies.
- Provide local intelligence by meeting and liaising with the Oilfield Regional Commanders.
- Act as the Wood PRO in the event of an emergency evacuation and liaise with the border/port authorities.
- Act as the company represent native in the local clinic during blood test for all Wood employees.
- Assist the Iraq Operations Lead and Iraq Operations Manager in all matters by ensuring compliance with Wood process and procedures.

Requirements:

- Ability to plan strategically and working within plans, rosters, mobilization charts, Microsoft projects and SharePoint.
- Provide quality field office support and operations compliance with GEI procedures.

Essential Qualifications:
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in attribute skill

Knowledge, skills and experience:
- At least 1 years' experience in Iraq working within the security team of an Oil & Gas company.
- Experiance working in an office based team
- Sound judgment, high degree of initiative and ability to work independently

- High standard of ethical integrity
