JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Charterhouse is working with a global leader in providing a transformational learning experience for international students and helping them on their way to academic success and rewarding careers. Our client is looking to hire a Head of Centre, to be based in Bahrain. Preference will be given to candidates who are immediately available or on short notice.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a Head of Centre, who will be responsible for coordinating with the school and other teachers. Other responsibilities will include leading, planning, managing, and deliverance of a 1-year academic programme and courses to ensure the best experience for the students. The role entails coordinating with other education professionals both within the team and across the network to ensure the effective delivery of teaching programs aligned with the company’s strategic vision.
In addition, the Head of Centre will be involved directly in supporting the students and contribute to the development and implementation of innovative teaching practices across the Centre.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must have a relevant Teaching Qualification (QTS) or strong experience in leading colleges, students, tutors and a Master’s Degree in Education or in a related area, ideally with an international background. Fluency in English, both verbal and written is essential for this role. A strong experience in leading a college and managing teams in both academic and student experience areas will be necessary.The ideal candidate must have experience in coordinating teams both on the academic side and student experience areas; experience in planning and running complex education courses and programmes.
Our client has a preference for candidates with prior experience of teaching or coordinated a team of students in the U.K. Experience working with international undergraduate students would be an added advantage.
