JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Our client is seeking a Cluster Government Relations Manager to oversee a team responsible for managing all transactions related to visas, permits, licenses, and registrations in Bahrain. This role will involve collaborating with various government departments and agencies to support the company's strategic objectives and strengthen business goals through effective relationships with governmental authorities.

Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the processing of all visa types, including employment and residence visas, for employees, entertainers, and guests.
- Monitor the renewal of permits and licenses, such as hotel trade licenses, liquor trading licenses, and civil defense certificates.
- Stay updated on changes to laws, regulations, and procedures affecting operations.
- Ensure timely submission of documents to immigration and labor offices for cancelled or absconding employees.
- Complete departure and exit formalities for employees following the cancellation of work permits.
- Build and maintain relationships with government entities, including municipalities, that influence business activities.
- Analyze proposed legislation and emerging issues to assess their impact on the organization.
- Maintain knowledge of BTEA regulations, immigration processes, SIO, LMRA requirements, and municipal regulations.

Requirements:

- A 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role across multiple business units.
- A minimum of five years of experience in a government relations role, with a strong understanding of labor laws, immigration
procedures, and regulations pertaining to BTEA LMRA, SIO, and Municipalities in Bahrain.
- Fluency in both written and spoken Arabic and English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Has a valid driving license.

Salary:
BHD 1,000 to 1,200 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
