CSA Design Manager

Job description / Role

Our client is an international construction company operating in the Asian market, specializing in delivering high-profile infrastructure projects. They also conduct building projects which range from schools to large scale leisure complexes. Our client is currently seeking a CSA Design Manager to join them on Data Centre projects in the APAC region.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for

• Assisting in developing Design Delivery Schedule.
• Negotiate with consulting firms and secure the design from a consultant design partner from initial tender enquiry to appointment.
• Collaborating on new design issues /changes and research projects with team.
• Reviewing the completed design ensuring accuracy and precision.
• Managing design document control and prioritising design, assignment and management to designers.
• Leading with effective supervision, an experienced design team to ensure delivery on schedule and ensuring that project milestones are met.
• Participating in departmental strategic planning, design meetings and providing continual input to optimise design and minimise futile work.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

• Architectural, Civil or Structural engineering background is essential.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the Construction industry.
• Project management experience across all design phases (design fees time / cost management)
• Proven experience managing small teams.
• Excellent computer skills
• Attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and Organisational skills
• Pride in the quality and presentation of work.
