Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented CAD Technician to join our award-winning team based in Amman, Jordan .

This critical role will work as part of the Waste Management and Environmental team, developing and preparing drawings in CAD format (also including Civil 3D) for various different components, including waste management infrastructure layouts, waste transfer routing, earthworks and details related to landfill and lagoon design. Experience in using GIS software will also be considered an advantage to support the wider team.

We envisage success in this role to include;

- Producing technical drawings related to waste management infrastructure, including landfills, transfer stations, waste storage rooms, etc.
- Producing profiles and 3D models for earthworks designs (related to landfills).
- Liaising with Engineers about the information required, the coordination between different disciplines and project progress.
- Collaborating and coordinating with other disciplines to achieve a fully integrated design.
- Converting concepts and sketches into engineering drawings based on the project requirements.
- Developing workflows and templates for various stages in design and submissions.
- Developing and maintaining a library of standard details for use in various design drawings (related to waste management infrastructure).
- Leveraging BIM software and tools as a methodology to coordinate design progress.

Requirements:

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will have a diploma in drafting, or any other related subject. We welcome all levels of experience, preferably with more than 3 years of experience in a similar position.

Furthermore, you should demonstrate:

- Proven experience as a CAD Technician in Infrastructure / Waste Management / Landfill
- Proficiency in software such as Autodesk AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience in Infraworks is preferable.
- Experience in GIS software will also be advantageous.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills in English.
