Job Purpose:

The Site Electrical Engineer will oversee and manage all electrical engineering aspects of the project to ensure compliance with design specifications and local regulations. This role is critical in delivering high-quality electrical systems on schedule and within budget in an onshore brownfield environment. The successful candidate will ensure safe practices, address technical challenges, and provide leadership to project teams.

Job Responsibilities:
- Support Site engineering team & AOC/LOC engineering team by carrying out site survey collecting the data required for design purposes.
- Providing the as-built SLD for the existing arrangement at field stations.
- Verifying the engineering Workpack form design / construction point of view and prepare the constructability report accordingly.
- Collaborate with project management, construction teams, and clients to define project deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Conduct regular site inspections, assess electrical systems, and identify any necessary adjustments or modifications.
- Manage electrical design changes and liaise with design engineers to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Generate and maintain documentation including progress reports, meeting minutes, and compliance records.
- Ensure prompt resolution of technical issues and safety hazards that may arise during construction and installation.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with mechanical and civil designs.
- Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions.

Functional Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications and drawings to ensure understanding of electrical systems requirements.
- Monitor and report on electrical work progress, quality, and adherence to budget constraints.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure their performance aligns with project specifications and timelines.
- Implement industry standards and best practices for electrical engineering and safety.
- Ensure documentation and drawings are updated and reflect actual site conditions and changes.
- Participate in project risk management assessments and develop mitigation plans.

Requirements:

Technical Skills:
- Proficient in electrical engineering principles, practices, and technologies.
- Experience with electrical design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards (e.g. IEC, IEEE, NEC).
- Familiarity with brownfield project challenges and solutions.
- Ability to analyze complex engineering problems and offer effective solutions.
- Knowledge of project management principles, methods, and tools.

- Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety.

Experience and Qualifications:
- Mandatory: Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a significant experience in onshore brownfield projects.
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or related field) is required.
- Preferred: Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical or related field) or equivalent experience.

Work Environment:

The position will be based primarily on-site in Iraq, requiring adherence to safety and security protocols. Flexibility to adapt to changing work conditions and sites is essential. Travel and extended onsite work may be required to meet project deadlines and address project needs.
