Job Purpose:
The Optimisation Lead will be responsible for supporting the in country BP_ROO_EPCM project team in identifying risks and opportunities within the overall activity program. The primary purpose of this role is to work across and with the functional teams looking at all aspects of delivery in terms of completed, ongoing, and upcoming, to identify risk to delivery and opportunities to improve performance (safety, cost, schedule, quality) by applying experience and judgement.

Responsibilities:

Analysing historic losses

- Put in place a process to systematically record all delays on schedule delivery and cost overrun.
- Analyse the data to identify themes, trends, and opportunities to improve.
- Engage relevant functions / teams to support reviewing the data, priorities, identify root cause, and put in place improvement plans.
- Track improvements through to completion.

Support to ongoing construction

- Weekly walk down of all scopes with Construction Manager to identify risk and opportunities
- As part of walk downs conduct Leadership audit.

Future optimisation - 6&12 week plan:
- Using the 6&12 week lookaheads to identify risks to delivery and opportunities.
- Work with the relevant functions and leads to discuss and agree improvement actions.
- Implement and track actions through to completion.

Future optimisation - 8Q plan:
- Support reviews / input to the 8Q plans as requested.

Reporting & Tracking:
- Put in place a process to identify, asses, and implement (on a priority basis) all improvement activities (note HSE activities to be escalated and transferred to HSE tracker) as per the above responsibilities.
- Provide weekly summary of key activities.
- Ensure high value / high risk activities are visible daily, and escalated when needed.
- Support monthly reporting requirements.
