Mission Objective
The Corporate Communications Division is functionally responsible for enhancing the Bank's public image and reputation though the development of public relations and corporate communications strategy and initiatives based on the strategic interests of the Bank. The Corporate Communications Division oversees the implementation of the Bank’s Corporate Publications, NDB Branding Guidelines and Information Disclosure Policy and leads in ensuring that the right message is designed for and delivered to the right stakeholders (i.e., media, non-governmental and civil society organizations) to advance the objectives of the Bank. Designing the dissemination of information from source to communication channels is a key activity ensuring that public relations and communication programs strengthen NDB's reputation as a credible and robust International Financial Institution (IFI).

The Principal Professional provides authoritative advice and guidance in public relations and corporate communication, leading the development of new messaging strategy, communication plans and initiatives to address emerging needs and communication trends to inform the Bank's stakeholders. Brining innovation and insight that expands and advances the Bank's public relations and corporate communications strategy and programs by anticipating emerging trends and leveraging the use of upcoming technology and communication channels.

Purpose(Innovate)
- Lead the development of the Banks's corporate communications strategy, both for internal and external communication, to generate support and expand the reach of the Bank strengthening its reputation as a leader in infrastructure investment and sustainable development.
- Develop the Bank's communication plan and messaging across various communication channels, utilizing the channels effectively to increase the visibility of the Bank.
- Design and oversee the implementation of the Bank’s corporate identity and branding to ensure that the Bank’s values are consistently expressed in all communication channels and activities.
- Oversee the Bank's hosting and participation in public events, including the assessment of opportunities and impact ensuring that the Bank’s intended message is delivered and received by the intended stakeholders.

Engagement (Advocate)
- Advise other divisions and internal stakeholders in the planning and implementation of various events, integrating corporate communications as an essential part of the Bank's activities and programs.
- Advocate with team members and other divisions adherence to the Bank's Information Disclosure Policy and Guidelines to ensure that information is used appropriately and shared to the intended recipients preventing the misuse of information.
- Build and maintain relationships, consult with, and represent the Bank to local and global partner organizations, contractors and stakeholders (i.e., media, non-governmental and civil society organizations), to build networks of engagement that help develop the appropriate communication design.
- Establish a network across other International Financial Institutions and other similar multilateral organizations to facilitate the exchange of best practices, showcase the Banks’s expertise, and acquire critical feedback on the effectiveness of the Bank’s communication initiatives.

Delivery (Define Project Cycle)
- Organize public relations and corporate communication activities to ensure that communication activities and corporate publications are implemented and delivered in a timely manner to maximize the Bank’s visibility and messaging impact.
- Build communication calendars and media plans, etc. to define yearly or multiyear communication programs that inform the timing of communication initiatives, ensure consistency in messaging and maximize impact of communication activities.
- Craft effective communications processes to ensure that communication design maximizes the impact of the communication opportunities and communication activities, engagements and messages are reviewed and vetted to ensure compliance of the Bank’s Information Disclosure Policy and NDB Branding Guidelines.
- Establish channels to receive or obtain feedback from key stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness of communication activities and receive feedback and input on how strengthen the Bank’s communication process and activities.

Requirements:

Targeted Specialized Knowledge
- Advanced Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or in a related field;
- Specialized experience in corporate communications in a global organization, executing communication campaigns across multiple regions. Specialized experience in a public relations/marketing agency.
- Fluency in English essential to communicate in writing and speaking.

The geographic distribution of NDB’s operations is becoming increasingly balanced as the Bank develops its capacity to identify and prepare projects in all member countries. The first regional office of NDB – the Africa Regional Centre (ARC) – was opened in Johannesburg, South Africa, in August 2017. In July 2019, NDB began to build the Americas Regional Office team, based in São Paulo, Brazil, with a sub-office in Brasília. NDB and the Government of Russia signed the Agreement on the Hosting of the NDB Eurasian Regional Centre in Moscow, Russia on the sidelines of the 11th BRICS Summit in Brasília in November 2019.
