Role Overview

The Production and Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process and ensuring that all production and maintenance operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes, as well as ensuring that machinery and equipment are properly maintained to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.

Prioritized Responsibilities

Production Management:
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production activities to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Develop and implement production schedules and workflows to optimize use of resources and equipment.
• Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., quality control, supply chain, engineering) to resolve production issues and improve processes.

Maintenance Management:
• Implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Schedule and oversee maintenance activities, including repairs, installations, and inspections.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and inventory of spare parts.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repair services.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in maintenance activities.

Team Leadership:
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production and maintenance personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training and development needs.
• Promote a safe and productive work environment by enforcing company policies and procedures.

Budget and Cost Management:
• Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
• Prepare reports on production and maintenance performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and budget adherence.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities
• Should have mandatory complete knowledge of Operations & maintenance of Krones filler Operation, Process Operations & Blow mold, Labeller, SMI Shrink wrapper & ACMI palletizer .
• Should have knowledge of Operations & maintenance of complete Utilities AF Compressor, Ammonia chiller, Cooling towers, Boiler .
• Thorough knowledge of water treatment and R.O plants
• Lead all shift basis production & maintenance activities for ensuring 100% Kore compliance.
• Lead shift Effectively to maintain GMP, operate and clean the allocated production, maintenance area and conduct the preventive maintenance activities shift basis.
• Ensure compliance with the health and safety requirements on shift basis as per the company safety, quality standards and the maintenance of high levels of housekeeping always.
• Lead the shift basis activities for material Yields improvement like Preform, Syrup, CO2 Label, WUR, EUR & expertise of enhancing the same.
• Lead shift basis Manufacturing Excellence activities for overall achievements of QSPECS parameters.
• Should have good Expertise & SAP knowledge, for maintain written records/SAP records for raw materials used and wastages which would be submitted to the Production Supervisor at the end of each day & ensure monthly & yearly closing of same along with finance audits.

Experience Requirements and Qualifications:
• Diploma/Degree holder in Engineering (Preferably Electronics and Electrical).
• Experience:7 to 8 Years of Previous experience in a food or beverage manufacturing industry with mandatory Knowledge of Krones line & Utilities.
• Should have proper equipment and systems knowledge. Familiar to manufacturing and warehouse operations, preferably in beverage manufacturing
• Communicates effectively in both oral and written form
• Coaching and mentoring skills
• Ability to deal with highly complex environment
