Job Description

Director of Rooms

As the Director of Rooms, you oversee all aspects of the Rooms Division at Hawar Resort by Mantis. This includes managing the Front Office, and Guest Services departments to ensure the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leadership and Management: Lead, motivate, and manage the Rooms Division team, including Front Office, and Guest Services. Develop and implement departmental strategies and goals that align with the overall resort objectives. Conduct regular staff meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration across the departments.
- Guest Experience: Ensure a seamless and exceptional guest experience from check-in to check-out. Address and resolve guest complaints and issues promptly and effectively. Implement and maintain high standards of service and operational excellence.
- Operational Management: Oversee daily operations of the Rooms Division to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Monitor and analyze room inventory and occupancy levels to maximize revenue. Ensure compliance with all safety, security, and health regulations.
- Financial Management: Develop and manage the Rooms Division budget, ensuring cost control and profitability. Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve financial targets. Prepare regular financial reports for senior management.
- Staff Development: Recruit, train, and develop staff to maintain a high-performance team. Conduct performance appraisals and provide ongoing feedback and coaching. Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and professional development.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to maintain service standards. Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met. Develop and implement standard operating procedures and policies for the Rooms Division.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other department heads to ensure coordinated and efficient resort operations. Participate in executive meetings and contribute to overall resort strategy and decision-making.
- Guest Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with guests to encourage repeat business and positive reviews. Stay informed of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve guest services.

Requirements:

Qualifications

- Educational Requirement: Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury resort setting. Pre-opening experience is required.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.
- Communication: Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Technical and presentation skills: Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite, and PowerPoint presentation skills.
