Job Title: Specification Manager
Location: Dubai, UAE
Job Summary: As a Specification Manager, you will be responsible for securing project specifications for the company in the UAE/GCC. You will work closely with architects, designers, and consultants to identify new business opportunities and provide technical support/samples to customers. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in specification sales and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, contractors, distributors, and key decision-makers to drive product specifications and generate sales opportunities.
- Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities by networking, attending industry events, and participating in trade shows and exhibitions.
- Provide technical support, product knowledge, and training to customers / consultants, ensuring they have a clear understanding of company products and their applications.
- Collaborate with the distributors sales team to develop and execute effective sales strategies, to drive sales growth.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations and product demonstrations to architects, designers, contractors, and distributors to showcase the features, benefits, and design possibilities of our laminates.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and make informed business decisions.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and Back Office, to support successful product launches, marketing campaigns, and customer support activities.
- Prepare regular reports and updates on sales activities, market trends, and customer feedback for management review.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in sales and specification within the building materials industry, preferably with experience in decorative laminates or related products.
- Strong network of contacts within the architecture, design, and construction industry.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Technical aptitude with the ability to understand and explain product features and specifications.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a strong drive for achieving targets and exceeding expectations.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
