QA QC Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled QA QC Engineer to join our team in the MEP industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of all engineering and construction processes, materials, and deliverables in our projects. This role will be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE and will play a critical part in upholding the high standards of our organization.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control and assurance plans for MEP engineering and construction projects.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
- Review and approve quality-related documentation, including method statements, inspection and test plans, and quality control procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to address and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
- Perform thorough quality assessments of materials, equipment, and workmanship to identify and rectify defects or non-conformities.
- Participate in the development and updating of quality management systems and processes to enhance overall project quality and efficiency.
- Provide guidance and training to project teams on quality control procedures, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive quality reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting areas of improvement and compliance status.

Salary:
AED 3,000 to 5,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
- Proven experience as a QA QC Engineer in the MEP industry, with a strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant quality standards, regulations, and best practices such as ISO 9001, ASME, ASTM, and NFPA codes.
- Certifications in quality management or related fields (e.g., CQE, CQM, Six Sigma) will be an advantage.
- Proficient in conducting inspections, tests, and quality audits, with excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with quality management software and tools for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Fluency in written and spoken English; Arabic language skills will be a plus.
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
