Planning Engineer

Job description / Role

- The Planning Engineer “in association with the resident engineer” shall develop the Project execution plan considering the proper engineering techniques and milestone sequences for the Project.
- He will set targets for activities based on each project activity and ensure it meets DM’s specifications and requirements.
- Planning engineers shall estimate timescales and costs using specialized design software packages (Primavera).
- One of the major Planning Engineer's roles is to monitor “day-to-day” work progress for the Project and provide accurate weekly and monthly reports by swiftly communicating potential progress delays or project slippages.
- - Tracking and analyzing field results is another key responsibility.
- Planning engineers continually compare planned progress and actual progress and report any differences to their lead project manager.
- He also studies the impact of alternative approaches.

Requirements

- The Planning engineer must have a relevant degree from a recognized university and a civil engineering background with knowledge and work experience of not less than ten years in design and construction programming/planning of similar projects.
