Junior Accountant

Job description / Role

Financial Accounting:
- Recording all sales and purchase invoices appropriately
- Timely booking of payment vouchers and processing payables in online banking
- Liaise internally with business heads and administrators for AR/ AP transactions
- Preparing GL reconciliations, month-end accruals, provisions etc.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Analyse financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making
- All other duties as assigned by Senior Accountant or Financial Controller

Financial Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and payroll processing
- Adherence to company SOPs and DOA
- Streamline accounting processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Assist in IT and transformation projects as and when required,

Compliance and Audit:
- Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors to provide necessary documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, filing requirements, and other statutory obligations.

- Bachelor’s degree in finance/ accounting
- ACA, CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent (Part-qualified at least)
- 2-3 years of prior experience in relevant industries
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems
- Knowledge of IFRS, IAS
