Head Waitress / Head Waiter - Russian Speaker

Job description / Role

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Head Waitress to join our team at a prestigious hotel/restaurant/cafe in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The Head Waitress will be responsible for leading and coordinating the front-of-house team, ensuring exceptional customer service, and contributing to the overall success of the establishment.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the front-of-house team, including waitstaff and hosts/hostesses
- Ensure smooth and efficient service delivery, maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction
- Train and mentor new and existing staff members, providing guidance on service standards and procedures
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and effective manner
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and coordinated service
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service-related policies and procedures
- Assist in creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for patrons

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Waitress or similar role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership position
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
- Strong customer service orientation and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu items, ingredients, and service techniques
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations with grace and composure
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
- Certification in food safety and/or hospitality management is desirable
