General Manager - Operations

Job description / Role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager Operations to oversee the operations of our water sports company in UAE-Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the business to ensure smooth and efficient operations, exceptional customer service, and profitability.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the water sports facilities, including staffing, equipment maintenance, and customer service.
- Lead and motivate a team of employees to deliver high-quality services and achieve operational excellence.
- Manage and optimize resources to maximize efficiency and profitability.
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop and execute strategies to attract and retain customers.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Ensure the safety of customers and employees by maintaining high standards of safety protocols and training programs.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to track and optimize operational performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and local authorities.
- Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to identify opportunities and risks.

Requirements

- Minimum 10 years experience in Water Sports Activities
- To Provide verified license papers for workers trained from the accredited training center
- Obtaining the necessary courses and certificates to practice the water sports, water safety, first aid, or boat operation profession
- Licenses must be valid during the agreement period
- Proven experience in a similar role within the water sports or leisure industry.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent understanding of operational processes, safety standards, and customer service principles.
- Solid financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and P&L management.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to build relationships and negotiate with stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement and business growth.
- Relevant certifications in would be a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, hospitality management, or a related field.
