Full Stack Web Developer - Open Source, PHP, Laravel

We are seeking a talented and motivated Full Stack Web Developer to join our client's dynamic team in the heart of Dubai, UAE. As a key player in their IT Consulting firm, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications using open-source technologies, with a strong focus on PHP and Laravel. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet their clients' needs and enhance their business operations. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using PHP, Laravel, and other open-source technologies.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to ensure high-quality code output.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications to improve performance and user experience.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance application functionality.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in web development and open-source frameworks.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to documentation related to application architecture, design, and development processes.
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of applications on cloud platforms.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Web Developer, with a strong portfolio of web applications developed using PHP and Laravel.
- Solid understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React, or Angular).
- Experience with database design and management using MySQL or similar relational databases.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, and experience with CI/CD practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A passion for open-source technologies and a commitment to contributing to the developer community.
- Knowledge of web security best practices and experience implementing security measures in web applications.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus.
