As the in-house consulting division of the Emirates Group, Operations Research & Effectiveness (OR&E) comprises a diverse team of over 30 professionals representing 15 nationalities. Our mission is to enhance the Emirates Group's performance by managing complex and critical projects across all business units. We deliver substantial business benefits through a range of services including: strategy development, organisational and operating model design, process excellence, customer experience, innovation and digital transformation, project management, and business performance optimization.

THE POSITION

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about contributing to the future success of the Emirates Group. As an In-house Consulting Manager, you will have the chance to partner and collaborate with business units across the Group to manage and deliver transformational consulting projects that are cross-functional in nature. Your role will vary depending on the nature of the activity and will include supporting and/or managing projects such as:

- Cross functional initiatives: Accountable for leading several strategic, complex and cross-functional projects and programmes
- Business improvement projects: Identify, recommend, and implement business improvement projects and initiatives to deliver the strategic business plans
- Business partnership: Proactively partner and collaborate with senior business stakeholders to drive rapid resolution of key issues and concerns and mitigate risks
- Best Practice: Be fully informed of industry standards/ processes and proactively inspire the adoption of best practice through continuous challenge of status quo
- People Management : Coach and motivate the project team in a selection of tools, techniques and consulting methodologies
- Centre of Excellence: Act as a coach and mentor to the business and key partners in one of our centres of excellence (e.g. Strategy & Business Planning, Organisational Design, Process Excellence, Customer Experience, Digital & Innovation, Project Management, Enterprise Business Performance, and Consulting Fundamentals)

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in consulting, business improvement, aviation, or travel industries.
- Graduate in quantitative disciplines such as business, industrial engineering, operations research, mathematics, or economics
- Postgraduate degrees and or professional qualifications in related fields advantageous
- Basic knowledge of innovation techniques, programme management, customer relationship management and emerging digital trends
- Advanced knowledge of process improvement, organisation design, project management, business planning and analysis and organisational impact of emerging themes
- Expert-level user of tools such as Excel and Powerpoint and ability to develop convincing presentations. Familiarity with advanced BI tools will be a plus
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex data into simple proposals
- Knowledge of project, programme and portfolio management practices, tools and techniques
- Experience managing complex programmes/projects
- Experience in managing internal and external stakeholders, including developing relationships and managing expectations with particular emphasis on being able to negotiate and influence middle to senior executive management
