Emergency Medicine Consultant

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Emergency Medicine to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert medical care and leadership in the emergency department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and contributing to the continuous improvement of emergency medicine services.

Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients presenting in the emergency department.
- Oversee and supervise junior medical staff, ensuring the provision of efficient and effective emergency care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of clinical protocols, guidelines, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experience.
- Contribute to the training and education of medical students, junior doctors, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient flow and coordination of care within the emergency department and across other specialties.
- Participate in departmental and hospital-wide governance, audit, and research activities to support evidence-based practice and service development.
- Engage in continuous professional development and maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices, guidelines, and advancements in emergency medicine.

Salary:
AED 45,000 to 95,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Medical degree
- Specialisation degree
- Substantial experience working as a Consultant in Emergency Medicine, demonstrating clinical excellence and leadership capabilities.
- Proven track record in delivering high-quality emergency care, with a focus on patient safety, efficiency, and positive outcomes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and contribution to the advancement of emergency medicine through education, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of clinical governance, risk management, and quality assurance principles.
- Ability to manage and prioritize a diverse caseload in a fast-paced and challenging clinical setting, while maintaining a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
