Project Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of engineering projects in the oil and gas industry, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Engineer will play a critical role in coordinating project activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of oil and gas engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or delays.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project team members, resolving technical challenges as they arise.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and key stakeholders.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering.
- Proven experience in project engineering within the oil and gas industry, with a strong understanding of industry practices and regulations.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing project challenges.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental standards in the oil and gas industry.
- Professional certification in project management (PMP) is a plus.
- Fluency in English, with proficiency in Arabic being an advantage.
- Ability and willingness to travel to project sites and work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
