Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Company: A major retail operator

The Role:

- Manage the selection, implementation, development, deployment, and support of appropriate enterprise solutions and business applications as per business requirements and specifications
- Assist IT depart. in the development of the department’s annual business plan, KPIs, budget and policies and procedures
- Perform identification and definition of requirements in conjunction with user departments (for business requirements) for selection, implementation, development, testing and maintenance of business applications
- Ensure the establishment of required applications to serve other department needs and projects in coordination with department heads
- Ensure the preparation of RFIs and RFP templates for systems’ implementation, development, operations and maintenance services in coordination with Procurement
- Manage the implementation of all enterprise business applications covering all relevant core and support functions
- Manage customization and configuration of applications
- Manage external software implementation partners, system integrators and application vendors
- Ensure maintenance and patching of all enterprise-related applications
- Ensure coordination with other relevant IT functions for maintenance and update schedules
- Perform role of liaison for application support issues with application vendors
- Ensure second level of support in case of escalation
- Develop controls in coordination with IT & Support, Internal Audit, Finance and HR to control financial risks in the systems
- Perform recommendation of security procedures to ensure confidentiality of sensitive information

Requirements:

Education:

Engineering Qualification with Industry Knowledge and Domain/Process know how

Experience:

- 10+ years in business applications project management
- Experience in running, monitoring and troubleshooting enterprise wide deployments such as Oracle and SAP suites
- Experience in systems & applications integration

Competencies:

- Excellent understanding of Enterprise application suites, products, & services
- Product know-how across industry
- Understanding of the business applications market
- Excellent communication skills in verbal, written and formal presentation formats
- Communication, coordination and teamwork skills
- Good presentation skills
