Technology Services Engineer - Hamad International Airport - Doha

In this role as Technology Services Engineer, you are required to be part of 24x7 IT Field Support to provide 2nd level technical assistance and support for incoming enquiries and issues related to IT. You will be responsible for responding to queries either in person or over the phone and respond to email messages for customers seeking assistance related to IT systems across HIA. Staff would be required to analyze the issue, use all available diagnostic tools to provide second level technical support to resolve problems and follow-up with customers and other technical teams to ensure that the issue has been resolved within agreed Service Level Objectives. In addition, staff is required to maintain inventory of IT assets and carry out minor deployment projects in line with business needs.

Key accountabilities include:

- Ensure all calls are responded efficiently in timely manner.
- Ensure process and procedures are followed as per ITIL standards for HIA - IT services. and support across all platforms.
- Ensure all IT assets are recorded in the system and secured.
- Monitor alerts for critical airport systems to ensure 99% uptime.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role you should hold a Degree in Computer / Engineering / Diploma or equivalent. You should have certifications like CCNA, MCSE and ITIL V3 Certification (Foundation course). Applicants are required to have an in depth knowledge of remote control tools like Ultra VNC.

You must have hands on experience in troubleshooting desktop and special airport systems.

You should also have good technical knowledge of HP Service Manager.

You must have at least 3 years of experience in a technical support role within the aviation industry along with good communication and organization skills.
