Title:
Mechanical Specialist

• Shall have a working knowledge of MS Office (at least Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• English language read, write and speaking to IELTS level 5 or equivalent.
• Able to work with computers, word, excel applications as well as Microsoft windows. Knowledgeable on safety aspects of working in a petrochemical/oil and gas industry
• Knowledgeable on quality systems and can perform regular audits to demonstrate compliance to Company requirements.
• Familiar with the different welding techniques, electrical, instrument and quality protocols.
• Good skill for managing a maintenance organization even during emergencies. Knowledgeable on industry standards, DEPs and relevant international codes.
• Experienced in using CMMS to carry out the work, report cost and KPI performance. Proven experience in improving staff productivity in an operating site and creatively
• Knowledgeable in Planning, scheduling and cost leadership Manage Company stakeholder and insure the coordination Skillful in maintenance execution.
• Apply the approved standards, procedures and schedules to ensure the reliability and integrity of the Plant equipment and systems in the allocated area.
• Supervise all field work of the area and ensure sufficient and suitable resources and equipment are available to complete correctly all assigned activities through utilization of Company workshop, Contractor Yard workshop or external vendor repairs.
• Implement the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on relevant equipment and ensure all work history and data is entered into the CMMS system.
• Responsible for providing qualitative work on Mechanical/Electrical/Instrument equipment, ensure correct equipment installation, testing and proper specification and selection.
• Mentor Mechanical/Electrical/Instrument Technicians to help Local nationals become competent Technicians.
• Ensure that WORK is carried out in accordance with the QHSE policies and procedures. Perform alignment work with laser alignment equipment and dial gauges.
• Carry out Flange tightening by Hydraulic Torquing and tensioning methods. Aware about the portable equipment inspection.
• Supervise up to 3-4 teams including Mechanical/Electrical/Instrument Supervisors, Technicians, Welders and Pipe Fitters.
• Organize the materials and equipment for the WORK. Trouble shoot, test and propose repair methods.
• Plan associated activities, scaffold, electric cable work etc. well in advance.
• Remove and reinstall all rotating equipment.
• Responsible for developing and managing the logistics required for executing the maintenance services, which includes but not limited to transport of manpower, transport of equipment, materials and equipment leaving/arriving, catering arrangements (during mobilization) and optimal work layout of equipment.
• Ensure sufficient and suitable resources, material and equipment are available to complete correctly all Mechanical/Electrical/Instrument WORK assigned to the Technicians.
• Acquire PTW certificate and carry out all the responsibilities of PTW Holder.
• Work extended hours and respond to call out duties as and when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Engineering degree in respective trade (12+4 years)
• 05 years relevant experience in Fertilizer industry /Oil & Gas/Petrochemical and competency
• High level technical competency in respective trade, Communication, Report writing, Critical problem analysis Leadership, team management.
• Large scale contract execution.
• Conceptual and thorough technical competency. - Thorough understanding and correct interpretation of the relevant technical documents - Engineering calculations, Isometrics, Drawings, layout, P&ID, datasheets etc.
• Direct and guide team to perform maintenance activity as necessary.
• Planning and scheduling methods, systems, tools
• Use of correct and appropriate tools, methods, and resources for given activities.
• Problem analysis and Root cause solving Problem methods, systems, tools.
• Report writing, presentation
