Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Provide direction and support to the Supervisor and technicians within the area.
- Progressively perform inspections and initiate associated documentation for all electrical & Instrument system installations, especially related to single line and schematic wiring diagrams, equipment and cable schedules, load lists and calculations, switchgear, switchboards, distribution boards, transformers, generators, and power and control wiring and terminations.
- Provide service support to Operations with regard to instrument maintenance, calibration, instrument troubleshooting and repair.
- Provide input to the Routine Planning and Asset Management teams for the development of the electrical & Instrument preventive maintenance schedules.
- Follows-up and gives work direction to the electrical foreman on specific preventative or corrective maintenance tasks.
- Ensuring compliance to maintenance requirements of safety systems, HSE policy and procedures.
- Working closely and supporting the field maint4enance team in troubleshooting and rectification of mal-functions / failures. Identifying the root cause and suggests short and long term corrective actions, aiming at improving the reliability.
- Coordinate with Asset Management & Routine Planning teams regarding spares, budget availabilities, give inputs for stocking of all critical spares.
- Give inputs to Asset Management by Identifying items becoming obsolete or having maintainability issues, support implementation of the resolution in liaison with concerned departments.
- Provide on the job technical training to the junior staff.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation OR Electronics OR Electrical
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical industry, which shall include minimum 05 years of experience in maintenance function.

Technical Skills:
- Should be proficient with maintenance of equipment in the Instrumentation discipline like the following:
- HART and FF field instruments
- Various types and makes of control valves, hydraulic actuators and servo valves etc.
- Anti-surge and performance control systems
- Machine monitoring and protection systems
- Various types of flow meters like turbine, ultrasonic, coriollis, thermal mass flow etc.
- Flow metring systems
- Batch control systems and related instruments
- Loading systems
- Electrical Power & UPS Systems
- HV / LV motors & CP System knowhow
- Shall have a fair knowledge / understanding of maintenance of other disciplines within maintenance
- Basic PC skills are essential.
- Strong grasp of Quality and Safety standards and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of CMMS software, preferable SAP.
