Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Operations Manager will be responsible for providing leadership and management oversight to plan, transition, integrate, consolidate, and control security at various sites in Afghanistan.

The role involves working with both the Client and contractors while implementing a collaborative approach to institute and maintain a positive security culture. The Operations Manager is accountable for rigorous conduct of operations, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation and incorporating business goals. Responsible for the timely and effective integration of security operations at geographically dispersed sites throughout Afghanistan. Standardizes operations and deploys best practices among sites.

KEY POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

•Responsible for identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining security processes, practices, and policies throughout the organization
•Responsible for responding to incidents, reducing risks, and to be aware of and have access to information on any potential risks (i.e. financial, physical security, reputation etc.) and directs the ongoing strategy to mitigate risk and maintain continuity of operations
•Provides a safeguard to both Company and Customer and their organization’s assets, including intellectual property
•Coordinates with Senior Management in implementing operational strategies that will ensure protection for Company Personnel and Customer
•Expected to be both Customer and Company focused with a proactive approach as well as being able to handle and implement new ideas
•Responsible for reviewing contract terms and conditions ensuring compliance;
•Responsible for executing Customer contractual obligations in order to carry out the daily operations while remaining within budget
•To ensure that the process of recruitment, induction and training of all staff is effective and compliant with our legal obligations to the Customer
•Must deliver continuous improvements in key KPI performances
•Knowledge of Rules, Regulations and Laws that governs PSCs and RMCs in Afghanistan from the views of Afghan Government as well as internationals organizations.

The successful candidate will demonstrate effective communication with internal stakeholders and colleagues across various functions. In addition to teamwork, the most suitable candidate will carry out responsibilities based on priorities with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

•Expat
•Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related concentration
•Afghanistan experience preferable in a similar role
•Minimum 5 years Business Operations Management experience a must
•Minimum 2 years experience in a Security Management role
•Previous experience in USG projects in Afghanistan preferred
•Due to the location of this position, applicants must be physically fit

Please note the following:

•Candidates who are immediately available will be given preference
•This position is site based and on a rotation of 4 months on, 14 days off
•Travel, accommodations, food and security provided by the employer
•2 paid trips to Country of residence will be provided annually
