An exciting opportunity has arisen at our client’s rapidly expanding Courier Company. They are a market leader in the provision of Express and Cargo services in the Middle East and are looking to further develop the business.

The main purpose of this role is to develop the company’s plan further and deliver on the vision and ambitions of the company. As the head of the Indian business unit, you will assume overall charge and control of all developments, processes and management issues.

In order to be considered, you must have recent work experience in an Express/Courier company.

Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of the Courier business efficiently, you will have full P&L responsibility
• Lead and direct all commercial activities in the country and participate in bids and contract negotiations to acquire significant new business
• Develop and maintain client relations at a senior level and work closely with existing and future customers to meet their requirements
• Offer competitive products & services to the market through efficient and innovative operations, you will drive operational excellence to achieve industry best practise in service delivery
• Develop the network and capabilities in-country
• Provide leadership, guidance and support to the team; train and motivate staff; develop appropriate succession plans

• An experienced Senior Manager with proven Operational and Commercial success in current/previous employment with a reputable Express/Courier company
• Strong commercial ability
• Able to manage all financial & budgetary issues professionally – have held P&L responsibility
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• People Management & Leadership skills
• Business graduate; MBA an advantage.
