About the role

Purpose of the job

Originating and leading Human Resources practices and objectives for Products & Services and Technology Planning & Quality departments. Ensuring better communication and understanding to the departments needs and enhancing the perceived value of HR to all stakeholders while establishing credibility and trust.

Duties and responsibilities

• Formulate partnerships across assigned departments to deliver value added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.
• Consult with line management to provide HR guidance when appropriate.
• Provide daily operational and consultative support to business managers.
• Validate new hire requests against the HC plan of assigned departments.
• Search for and screen potential profiles to match requested positions descriptions from all defined recruitment sources.
• Carry out recruitment functions as screen applicants and conduct interviews.
• Conduct relevant tests and Competency Based Structured interviews needed to qualify candidates.
• Agree with department hiring manager on final selection to proceed with offer stage.
• Communicate job offers to candidates following HR general guidelines and compensation structure
• Ensure proper on-boarding of new employees.
• Identify training needs for department and individual coaching needs.
• Evaluate and monitor the success of training programs for assigned department.
• Provide continuous counseling to employees on their development needs and advise them on relevant training programs.
• Ensure employees timely enrollment in the training plan, through HRMIS, as per the announced deadlines and that their courses are relevant to their PDPs.
• Attend Team buildings with training department and external supplier to make sure the needs of the assigned departments are covered
• Ensure timely announcement of the validated functional training plan and monitor its progress
• Reviews performance management submissions for procedural compliance and effectiveness.
• Reflect approved HC on organization charts and submit updated organization charts on a quarterly basis.
• Review and update Job descriptions on a regular basis
• Review proposed re-organization structures, evaluating the proposal against the set guidelines and challenge the top management when needed before final validation of Organizational Development.
• Conduct Job Matching of assigned departments positions according to different surveys (Towers Watson, Hay etc.) to assure accurate compensation surveys results
• Work in partnership with top management team(s) in order to clarify their workforce requirements to develop a business-driven Workforce Strategy.
• Participate in Assessment Centers with the Talent & Organization team and attend scheduled feedback sessions to develop the employees PDP
• Review and validate requests for summer internships from the assigned departments, conduct screening and assessments for interns and match the short-listed with the received requests
• Conduct the exit interviews meeting, analyze the reason of resignation.
• Attend the Employee Grievance and Workplace Discipline cases with the Ethics and Compliance department.
• Receive promotion requests and ensure validation against set criteria and guidelines for further actions.

Requirements

Job specification

Education

• Bachelor of business administration or equivalent
• A post graduate study in HR is an asset.

Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience, 2 of which are in HR.

Skills and abilities

• Fluent English both spoken and written.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Multitasking capability; is able to manage several activities concurrently.
• Flexible and adaptable; perform well in diverse and challenging environments.
• Strong organizational skills; can work around barriers without invoking higher authority.
