Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Role is for a prestigious client based in Germany. The positions are based in their defence division and located in Saudi Arabia.

The vacancies are to be filled in March, September and November 2016, after 2-months of training.

You will be appointed to 1 of 6 bases they have and will be responsible for different vessel types within the project.

The main tasks and areas of responsibility will be:
- Human Resources Management and deployment planning for the maintenance teams and workshops, the On the Job Trainees and Border Guard Maintainer in cooperation with the Border Guard Supervisor
- Compliance with the maintenance intervals for the Crew and the Base Maintainer
- Preparation of work assignments
- Material management and continuance of material handling and replenishment
- Support of the Base Manager in terms of evaluation and analysis of defects / claims by the client
- Reporting and evaluation including cost estimation of defects / claims
- Preparation and scheduling of long lead maintenance

Requirements:

- Completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering or comparable education
- Several years of work experience and respective skills in ship maintenance and marine engineering with commercial background knowledge e.g. management principles and techniques
- High experience in Human Resource Management, Commercial Management and the leading of building sites and/or bases
- Good communication and diplomatic skills
- Competence in management, presentation and moderation
- Willingness to travel and flexibility
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Good command of written and spoken Arabic is advantageous
- Good knowledge of MS-Office and common software applications
