Job description / Role
Client is an international fit out contractor focused on the high-end hotel market are looking for a Site Engineer to join their team.
You will:
- Report to the Project Manager.
- Manage communication between all parties involved in development, where appropriate.
- Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.
- Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors.
- Work within multi-national teams.
- Ensure site complies within guidelines of health and safety and security.
- Liaise with main and sub-contractors to ensure smooth completion of tasks and adherence to site regulations.
- Quality Control of work done at site.
- Act as the main technical adviser on site for subcontractors, crafts people and operatives.
Requirements:
- Must have a proven track record in the fit out of high-end hotel projects, preferably in the UAE
- Preferably also from a joinery background
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related subject.
- Able to work well within a team based environment.
- Manage and produce accurate formal reports in accordance with business timetable.
- Be a multitasking, self-motivated, energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Have good practical organization skills, planning of resources and program scheduling.
- IT Literate - able to use Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project, working knowledge of Autocad
