Job description / Role
The Projects Manager/Resident Engineer ALS/BHS is responsible for the management of one or several ADPI projects assigned to him/her by the ALS/BHS Head within the ADI business unit.
In order to successfully fulfil the expectations of the Client (who is the main and direct point of contact of the Project manager), the Project Manager ALS/BHS manages the electro-mechanical studies as well as studies related to other areas. He/she will meet the allocated time, resources and budget objectives, while respecting the Quality Policy and principles.
The Projects Manager ALS/BHS manages the entirety of electro-mechanical systems that the Airport Systems and infrastructures Business Unit manages, which are as follows :
- Baggage handling Systems (BHS)
- Passenger loading bridge (PLB) ;
- Security screening systems (SSS)
- Cargo handling systems (ULDS)
- Passenger transportation systems (LET-APM)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Technical studies of such systems, in coordination with the various other parties (other ADPI stakeholders, contractors, partners) of the project, from conception to selection of lead contractor.
- Technical follow-up of these systems, in coordination with various parties (other ADPI stakeholders, contractors, partners) of the project, from plans and documents approval of the lead contractor to the trials monitoring and control
- Technical acceptance of the systems in conformity with the contract demands and performance
- Participate in performance improvement actions relating to the Airport Systems and Infrastructures Business Unit (feedback, standard compliance…)
He/She may be assisted by a team made of electromechanical project
Il peut être assisté par une équipe composée de Electromechanical project engineers and Draftmen, depending on the size of the business (project). In this case he/she will be responsible for the technical management of such team.
This role will involve short but frequent travel all around the world. The candidate needs to be available for such travel
The Projects manager / Resident Engineer ALS/BHS is in direct hierarchical link with the ALS/BHS Division Manager of the Airport Systems and infrastructures Business Unit.
Requirements:
This role requires an Engineer profile with 5-10 years of experience in the field of logistics/electromechanical systems.
The Projects Manager ALS/BHS should have extensive experience and knowledge of the following areas :
• Logistics/flows studies, simulation
• Setting up, method ;
• Power and automation systems for the supply and control of electromechanical equipment
• Monitoring and control IT systems for electromechanical equipment
• Maintenance, Trials.
Excellent writing skills are mandatory
Fluency in English is mandatory, knowledge of french would be an asset
