Group Procurement Manager - FMCG - UAE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and committed Group Procurement Manager to work for a leading FMCG company. The group are involved in sourcing, manufacturing and distributing soft commodities and FMCG goods and have a strong focus on the Africa market place.

As the Group Procurement Manager you will be based in the UAE and responsible for all purchasing and sourcing activities of the group. This will include developing and implementing a strong and robust purchasing and supply chain division, advise on all purchasing/procurement and contracting decision and negotiating large purchases. You will be required to define a series of policies and procedures that form the basis for all interaction between the company, the suppliers, and the internal customers.

Requirements:

- Experience within the FMCG sector is highly advantageous
- Must have a strong background in purchasing and sourcing goods internationally (experience of the Middle East, Far East, Europe and Africa would be preferred)
- Track record of reducing material costs
- Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Engineering, Production or related business area
- Must be willing to travel internationally
- Fluency in English
- Fluency in Portuguese would be advantageous but not a must
