HSE Manager - Qatar (Infrastructure / Roads / Bridges)

There span of work encompasses the construction of infrastructure, power plants and oil & gas projects worldwide. Our client prides themselves on their versatility in the industry and have developed a proven track record for delivering some of the worlds most complexed and challenging projects.

The vacancy is for a HSE Manager on a $1 billion USD road/highway & Bridge project set to be completed by 2017. They are looking for someone with confidence and experience in this position who has at least 15 years total professional experience and meets all the educational standards within this particular field.

Responsibilities;
- Lead the HSE organization on project.
- Advised management on all aspects of safety legislation / Codes of Practice
- Implemented safe work procedures and efficient administrative systems.
- Daily control of HSE Department and co-ordination with other Departments in relation to HSE.
- Responsible of coordinating with the client on all HSE matters.
- Conducting site HSE inspections and issuing reports.
- Investigate all accidents / incidents and recommend remedial action.
- Monitoring company all activities in relation to HSE.
- Conduct safety audits and compile safety reports.
- Ensuring the company is complying with the client’s HSE plan and monitors its implementation.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Engineering or Diploma in Safety engineering.
- Professional HSE Qualifications (NEBOSH IGC or Diploma)
- Qualified Lead Auditor
- Professional HSE Qualifications (IOSH, OSHA)
- Membership in professional bodies
- Management Certifications
- 15 years experienced of the same. (Roads, highways and construction)
- Process and technical knowledge of various construction activities associated with roads, highways, tunnels, underpasses, pipe lines and underground utilities

Key Competencies:
- Familiarity with Qatar Laws and QCS 2010 Specifications
- Familiarity with Work Zone Traffic Management Guide
- Certified First Aider
- Relevant HSE training attendance
